Are there any reasons to believe in a consciously reflexive off-line plan construction behaviour, where classical artificial intelligence would represent actions as simple state transformation? Answer no and planning becomes a genuinely-artificial tool. Whatever the questions and the answers, these should not prevent us from scientifically studying artificial intelligence planning systems as natural phenomena; and doing the usual ethnographic work for the everyday life users that we are. In any case, the work here reported suggests that the necessary scientific stance for planning studies still remains to be discovered; and then used. It consequently is an attempt to present such a scientific stance, together with an ordered set of questions and its argued accompanying answers. However, beyond such a stance, should it ever be qualified as "scientific", this work seriously defends planning as a discipline in its own whose artificial intelligence goal is to
produce a precisely artificial technology.
