This paper presents FrameKit, a software platform dedicated to the prototyping of CASE environments. It is composed with a hosting structure, running under Unix and a dynamically reconfigurable user interface, running under macintosh and able to handle discrete graphical formalisms. We present the main design principles and describe how we used it to build CPN-AMI 2.0, our Coloured Petri net based Software environnement. Both FrameKit and CPN-AMI are available on Internet.
