Generative artificial intelligence (GAI) tools are now an integral part of many professionals’ workflows. Against this backdrop, on 11 June 2026, the LIP6 Laboratory Council adopted a charter governing the use of GAI within the context of its activities.
The Professional Equality group works to promote an inclusive and safe working environment, free from stereotypes and discrimination of any kind (regarding gender, ethnicity, religion, etc.), and in which all members of the laboratory feel listened to, supported and at ease.

The Ecological Impact group was set up in 2018. It is the result of a common initiative aimed at better understanding, measuring and reducing the environmental footprint of computer science research activities at LIP6. In light of current climate and energy challenges, our aim is to embed principles of moderation, sustainability and responsibility at the heart of our scientific and technical practices.
