Title: 5G Connectivity and Security for CNF/VNF Modern Telco applications
Abstract: Service-based Architecture (SBA) in 5G lets network elements or network functions (VNFs and CNFs) communicate with each other over a service-based interface. VMware Telco Automation Solutions support orchestration. This talk shows how Tanzu Service Mesh provides advanced, end-to-end connectivity, security and insights for modern applications – across application end-users, microservices, APIs, and data – enabling compliance with Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and data protection and privacy regulations. VMware NSX/TSM Tanzu is already in production at Dish Wireless in US, SingTel in APAC and Telia-Vodafone in EMEA.
Bio: Tuan Loc Nguyen is Technologist Director at VMware NSX Networking and Security, responsible for End-to-end network usecases using VMware portfolio (Tanzu, Antrea, NSX , Security, NSX) and modern application connectivity with Kubernetes portfolio. Tuan Loc is the Captain of VMware Networking Security BU leading multiple event coordinations. He is also technical speaker for VMworld Mobile World, Blackhat, AWS ReInvent, RSA and actively participates in VMUG, VMware@code community and other opensource communities like Kubecon, Tanzu Community Edition. Tuan Loc holds a PhD from University of Paris 6 and an MBA from California Lutheran University. He is currently based in Silicon valley Headquaters of VMware.
