The thesis covers several contributions addressing challenges arising in the context of modern data management.
The first challenge is related to the problem of schema inference for massive JSON collections.
The second challenge is driven by the adoption of JSON Schema as standard language to describe JSON collections and is related to the problem of witness and instance generation from schema descriptions.
The last challenge is more classical and pertains to the problem of data incompleteness in the context of analytical databases.
