Speaker(s) : Dr. Jomi Fred Hübner (UFSC, Brazil)
Programming multi-agent systems (MAS) is usually focused on the agent programming, however, it is not suitable for some sort of systems, as open systems where the agents are unknown. The talk will discuss the programming of MAS as a socially structured entity instead of a simple set individuals. Among several approaches, the concept of norms has being widely proposed as a powerful tool to develop MAS from this social perspective, since norms can be defined independently of the agents. The talk aims to motivate this perspective and discuss in more details the development of languages for normative programming.
