WaterFowl: a Compact, Self-Indexed RDF Store based on Succinct Data Structures
Intervenant(s) : Olivier Curé (U. Marne-la-Vallée)This talk will start with an introduction on the main strategies for storing and indexing RDF data sets. This will consider solutions based on a native RDF approach but also approaches using a relational or NoSQL storage backend. Then, I will present the main features of an on-going work that aims to distribute highly compressed structures adapted for the storage and querying of RDF triples. The compactness of the represented data is supported by an architecture based on Succinct Data Structures (SDS) which enables to store large datasets in main memory. A special form of entity encoding enables inferences in the RDFS entailment regime.
