
Bio : Erik Ortiz Guerra received the bachelor and master degrees from Central University “Marta Abreu” of Las Villas (UCLV), Cuba, in 2008 and 2011 respectively. From July 2013 to February 2014, he was PhD. student at the Federal university of Technology-Paraná, Curitiba, Brazil. In 2015 he received the PhD. degree in Technical Sciences from the UCLV. Since 2008 he is professor at Electronic and Telecommunications department at UCLV. His research interests are in the area of cognitive radio networks communication establishment and MAC protocols for lower IOT layers. He is a recipient of the mention award for best PhD. thesis in Cuba in 2015 and a recipient of the 2016 Research Award from the Cuban Academy of Sciences.
