We are pleased to announce that Vincent Neiger (PolSys) has won, with his co-author Clément Pernet (LJK, Grenoble), the Journal of Complexity Best Paper Award for the article "Deterministic computation of the characteristic polynomial in the time of matrix multiplication" (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.jco.2021.101572). This award has been conferred annually by the journal since 1996.
