Criteria and methods for extending an order relation on elements to sets, and applications in elicitation and optimization

This thesis focuses on optimization methods for decision support that are not based on numerical quantification but on order relations (possibly partial) between the different elements that can be chosen. These order relations will be studied according to three aspects: axiomatic studies of the properties, algorithmic study of the use of these relations and finally study of the various methods of elicitation allowing to build these relations starting from the preferences of users
