Résumé : Nous présentons un modèle de gestion de la QoS pour les applications multimédias fonctionnant dans des environnements best-effort. Dans un tel environnement, nous considérons que l'adaptation des applications est la meilleure solution pour gérer les multimédias. De telles applications ont un comportement instable et indéterminisme quand plusieurs sont exécutées en parallèle. Nous expliquons rapidement le prototype de gestion que nous avons implantanté, et nous étudions les limites de ce prototype.

Abstract : We present a QoS management scheme for multimedia applications in environment where no resource reservation is possible. In such context, we consider application adaptivity to be a better scheme for managing multimedia applications. Nevertheless such adaptive applications have an unstable and unfair behavior when run concurrently. We quickly explain the QoS management model, we have been developped to allow a fair repartition of resources. Nevertheless, some problem have not been issued yet. We intend to consider new problems like management of priorities within applications. We also raise problems of degradation scripts in distributed environments and give indications of how to create efficient degradation scripts for distributed adaptive applications.
